We have three leghorns on the property, they were the first chickens we got on the place back in 2019. These are great egg laying chickens, who produce large white eggs that are quite delicious. These are great chickens on the farm as they do produce so many eggs and are easy to care for.
Our Asian chickens are some of our favorites. We got them later in the spring of 2020 and they stole our hearts right from the beginning. They are a dual-purpose chickens which means that they can be used for meat or egg production. Ours, of course, are egg producers, and much like the Leghorns, they produce a lot of eggs. They are definitely fatter ladies but they are fun to watch.
